FALL BASEBALL

Fall Ball at Oregon Park is designed to be a fun, instructional season where players can continue developing their skills while enjoying the game in a more relaxed environment. While it may feel like the “off-season,” Fall Ball actually marks the beginning of a new baseball year. Players move up into their next age division, giving them the opportunity to learn new age-group rules, explore different positions, and build confidence before Spring baseball arrives.

We also recognize that fall can be a season of transition for kids. With school starting back up, new teachers, changing routines, and busy schedules, Oregon Park wants Fall Ball to be a positive outlet where players can have fun, stay active, and continue growing without adding unnecessary stress.

Our typical Fall Ball schedule includes one weekday game per week (Monday–Thursday) and one weekend practice per week. This schedule allows players to enjoy fall baseball while still having time for other sports and weekend activities.

Early Bird Discount

A discount of $20 will be applied for anyone registering on or before July 13, 2026. 

Late Fee: A late fee of $25 will be applied for anyone registering after July 27, 2026



Cobb County Fees

Cobb County fees are charged upon registration and collected by Cobb County Parks and Recreation. In-County Fees are $10 and Out-of-County Fees are $15.



Registration Includes

Jersey and  hat for each player. Your player will need baseball pants and belt, socks, glove, helmet, cleats and bat.

Coach pitch (T-ball - 8U) require a helmet with face mask. Kid pitch (9U - 12U) helmets can have a either a face mask or optional C-flap.

Rules and Regulations

• Bat Rules: Any bat used at Oregon Park must have an easily identifiable stamp/logo showing that it is a USA or USSSA 1.15 BPF certified bat. Wooden bats are also permissible.
• Concession Stand: Based on feedback, we are not requesting any volunteers for the concession stand. There will be a board member on duty at all times and paid teenagers.
• Contacts: Board member contact names are listed on our website under contacts. Please email questions@oregonpark.com with any questions or to contact your age group coordinator for any specific information.
• Field Conditions: When you register on the website for this season, you can select to receive text or email alerts about field closings and changes to the schedule. If the field is closed do not use any part of the field, infield or outfield. Field closures will ALWAYS be listed on the home page at oregonpark.com.
• Jerseys: Jerseys will be sublimated, customized, and distributed. Families will be asked to provide a shirt size during registration. Additionally, we are asking you to provide your child's top 3 preferred numbers. We will do our best to accommodate after the drafts are completed.
• Oregon Park Board of Directors: Elections are held the 3rd week of April. If you are interested in being a board member please email questions@oregonpark.com. There are no paid board member positions.
• Parking: Oregon Park is a Cobb County Park and the Oregon Park Baseball Association does NOT have any control over the parking or parking lot. DO NOT PARK in red lined areas or on the grass. It is necessary for emergency vehicles to be able to use the space and it is enforced by Cobb County.
• Playing with a Friend: T-Ball is the only age group that we allow special requests to play with a friend. Beginning at the 6U level, Oregon Park uses a coach draft to create balanced teams. Because of this process, player, coach, and friend requests cannot be guaranteed. Our goal is to provide every child with a fun, competitive, and fair baseball experience.
• Playing up League: If you are interested in your child playing in the older age group please send a request in writing to your current age group coordinator, Athletic Director, and Auxiliary Director by August 4th. Emails can be located on our website under League Information on the home page, then select board members. Determination is based on skill level during skills evaluation and roster spot availability within the age group.
• Refunds: All refund checks will be processed and mailed after August 19th. 100% refund until July 13th, 50% from July 14th to July 26th Zero refund beginning July 27th. Please send any refund request in writing to auxiliary@oregonpark.com. 
• Rules, Regulations, and FAQs: Oregon Park rules, regulations, and FAQs are listed under the Park Info tab on the website. This includes information regarding playing on a travel team and playing recreational baseball. Any specific rule question should be directed to the Age Group Coordinator. 
• Skills Assessments: Skills Assessment will be held on August 8th with a rain out/weather date of August 9th. The sign-up links will be posted the week of the evaluations. T-ball players do not participate in skills assessment. All players ages 6U through 12U participate in a preseason Skills Assessment. This is not a tryout, and there are no cuts. Every registered player will be placed on a team. The purpose of the Skills Assessment is simply to help our coaches understand each player's current baseball experience and skill level so they can conduct a fair draft and build balanced teams across the league. During the assessment, players will rotate through a series of basic baseball stations where coaches evaluate fundamental skills. Whether your child is picking up a glove for the very first time or has played several seasons, the Skills Assessment helps coaches place players in an environment where they can learn, compete, and have fun alongside teammates of varying abilities. Following the Skills Assessment, coaches participate in a draft to build balanced teams. This process helps create a positive experience for all players and promotes competitive games throughout the season. We encourage every player to attend the Skills Assessment. If your child is unable to attend, they will still be placed on a team; however, coaches will have less information available during the draft.
• Schedule: Schedules will be released after teams are assigned the second week of August. Two practices per week will begin August 15th. Opening Day will be August 24th. Once games begin, there will be one (possibly two) weeknight game(s) per week and one practice on the weekend. Weeknight game start times will be either 6 p.m. or 7:15 p.m. (T-Ball through 8U), 6 p.m. or 7:30 (9U & 10U), and 6 p.m. or 7:45 (11/12U). Typically, games will ALWAYS be held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night. In the event of weather make-ups we may schedule games on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, but we will make every effort to avoid this. No games will be scheduled during Cobb County Fall Break (week of Sept 21st). End of season tournament is scheduled to begin on October 12th (or sooner) and may last until early November. Coaches may or may not schedule additional practices either at OP or another facility.
• Travel: No player shall be a member of Oregon Park Baseball and any other baseball association at the same time. No player may participate in Oregon Park’s rec baseball program while being on the roster of any outside travel baseball organization. Players in Oregon Park’s all star and travel program ARE encouraged to participate in fall baseball at Oregon Park.
• Trophies: Each tournament champion and runner-up will be awarded a ring (players only). Teams may choose to purchase their own trophy.
