DIZZY DEAN AGE GROUPS - PLEASE READ

Please review the age chart to confirm that you will be requesting the correct age league for your child. The current cut-off is April 30th per Dizzy Dean rules. Please note that 5 and 6 year olds, per Dizzy Dean rules, are combined for the t-ball league. To clarify the April 30th cut-off, a child plays in the age/league of the age they are on or before April 30th. For example, if a child is 8 on or before April 30th, 2009, they will play in the 8u league. No exceptions. To determine your child’s assigned age group as of April 30, 2009, first find the year your child was born in and then look across the chart to find the month. This is the league they will play in.

NOTE: In Spring 2006 and 2007, OPBA allowed kids who played at OPBA in Spring 2005 to be grand-fathered under the old Dizzy Dean cut-off of July 31st. This affects children with May, June and July birthdays. Those players grand-fathered under the old cut-off are required to follow the age group progression they selected to play with in the Spring 2007 season. This only affects players who have played at OP since Fall 2005. New players must follow the current cut-off date.

Thank you!
